EICR
An electrical installation condition report (EICR) identifies any damage, deterioration, defects and/or conditions which may give rise to danger along with observations for which improvement is recommended. The purpose of an EICR, is to determine, so far as is reasonably practicable, whether the installation is in a satisfactory condition for continued service.
PAT Testing
Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some types of defect can only be found by testing.
Electrical testing
For all types of electrical installation: Domestic, Commercial and Industrial. In the form of EICRs on existing installation and Electrical Certification, Part P on new installations.
House rewires
Not so popular nowadays, most properties are now wired in PVC cables, most installations just require modernisation to comply with current regulations. Please contact us and we will come out and survey your system and advise on the best path forward.
Fuseboard upgrades
The Fuseboard (or Consumer unit/Distribution board) is the ‘engine’ of the electrical system. It provides the safety cut-off in case of a fault. The newest boards, complying with the 18th IEE electrical regulation, provide a very high level of protection from fire and electrocution.

About K2
We Love Problem Solving!
I have worked for myself since 1985 and very early on I realised I loved solving other people’s electrical problems and soon came up with a phrase: “nothing is a problem, only a challenge”. You call me with your problem, I immediately see a challenge.
I am very lucky that I can see electrical circuits in my mind’s eye and can often have solutions over the phone or in my van on my way to you. If you have an electrical problem whether a fault or perhaps a design “how are we going to do this?” question – please call and arrange an appointment.
K2 Testimonials
“I first used K2 in June 1991 and have exclusively used them since for all my electrical, fire alarm installations and servicing. I have always found K2 to be approachable, friendly, efficient and, above all, reliable … their prices are very reasonable.
I have no qualms about continuing to use them.”
